Personal Lines Account Manager
Alera Group is a national brokerage firm founded in 2017, specializing in Employee Benefits, Property and Casualty Insurance, Retirement Plan Services, and Wealth Services. With a network of offices across the U.S., we combine national resources with local service. This role is available in multiple Massachusetts locations (Needham, Braintree, Brockton, Brookline, Chicopee, Concord, Fairhaven, Milford, Orleans, Rehoboth, Truro, Worcester) and Rhode Island locations (North Smithfield, Warwick).
About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Personal Lines Property & Casualty Account Manager to deliver a high-touch experience for clients while driving growth through new business, cross-sell, and retention efforts.
Responsibilities
- Advise and service Personal Lines clients (home, auto, umbrella, flood, and other personal lines), handling policy changes, renewals, and inquiries.
- Drive growth through quoting, new business support, account rounding, and cross-selling to earn base salary plus commissions.
- Evaluate client exposures and recommend coverage changes, explaining options clearly to support retention.
- Manage workflows in Applied Epic with accurate documentation and compliance.
- Partner with carriers and underwriters to obtain quotes, submit documentation, and resolve requests efficiently.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Personal Lines P&C account management experience.
- Valid Massachusetts P&C License (required).
- Strong knowledge of personal lines coverages and underwriting requirements.
- Proficiency with Applied Epic (strongly preferred), rating tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.
- Able to perform with minimal ramp-up; dependable and team-oriented.
Schedule
Hybrid schedule with 3 or more days in the office, as agreed with the manager.
Pay
Annual salary range of $55,000 to $75,000, plus commission.
