Key Responsibilities
- Manage a personal injury caseload from intake through trial or settlement
- Handle Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA), Commercial Vehicle Accident (CVA), catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex injury claims
- Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, settlement negotiations, and jury trials
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and appellate documents as needed
- Collaborate with paralegals, case managers, and litigation support staff
- Build relationships with medical providers, expert witnesses, investigators, and litigation professionals throughout Washington
- Develop litigation strategies that maximize client outcomes
- Aid in developing Washington-specific litigation procedures and best practices
- Mentor attorneys and staff as the firm's Washington practice continues to grow
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active Washington State Bar license in good standing
- Minimum 10 years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience
- Extensive experience handling Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) and Commercial Vehicle Accident (CVA) claims
- Significant deposition, mediation, arbitration, and courtroom experience
- Strong legal writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Comfortable working remotely while maintaining exceptional responsiveness
- Preferred Qualifications:
- First-chair jury trial experience
- Experience with catastrophic injury and wrongful death litigation
- Established relationships with Washington medical providers, expert witnesses, and litigation support professionals
- Leadership or mentoring experience within a litigation team
