About the role
The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in New York. Experience in personal injury law is preferred, particularly on the plaintiff's side.
Responsibilities
- Meet with potential clients to assess their cases and provide legal advice.
- Outline possible courses of action and investigate accident reports, medical records, and witness statements.
- Gather and analyze evidence to build a strong case, consulting with medical experts, accident reconstruction specialists, and other professionals.
- Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel to maximize settlement amounts before proceeding to trial.
- Draft legal documents (complaints, motions, and discovery requests) and represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and depositions.
- Present arguments, question witnesses, and advocate on behalf of clients.
- Keep clients informed about case progress and legal strategies while managing multiple cases simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Education & Licensing: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; licensed to practice law in New York.
- Experience: Preferred experience in personal injury law, particularly on the plaintiff's side.
Benefits
- Unlimited backend compensation for all cases originated that are settled.
- Annual salary range: $135,000 - $160,000.
