Personal Injury Associate Attorney

Location: Port Washington, NY (On-site) • Full-Time

About The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join its growing litigation team in Roslyn, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 1-2 years of Personal Injury experience who is looking to develop their litigation skills while working alongside experienced trial attorneys. The ideal candidate will have experience handling Plaintiffs' Personal Injury matters, although candidates with Insurance Defense Personal Injury experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing Personal Injury cases from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, demand packages, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and briefs.
• Participate in depositions, mediations, settlement conferences, and court appearances.
• Communicate regularly with clients, insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, medical providers, and expert witnesses.
• Assist with trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit organization, and trial strategy.
• Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to efficiently manage assigned matters.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the State of New York, in good standing.
• 1-2 years of Personal Injury experience required.
• Plaintiffs' Personal Injury experience preferred; candidates with Personal Injury Defense experience will also be considered.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional client service.
