About the role

The Oklahoma Forensic Center (OFC) located in Vinita, OK is a 24 hour/365 day secure inpatient forensic facility that provides jail competency services for the State of Oklahoma. Currently, OFC has 268 beds for consumers who have been found incompetent for adjudication or adjudicated as Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional hair care services and other treatments to consumers in an impatient care setting.
• Give haircuts, shampoos or hair treatments.
• Give shaves, facials and skin care instruction.
• Give manicures and pedicures.
• Sterilize and sanitize area and equipment.

Requirements

• Level II: Possession of a current Oklahoma Barber’s License and 36 months of experience as a barber OR licensure by the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology as a beautician and 36 months of experience as a beautician.
• Level I: Possession of a current Oklahoma Barber’s License and six months of experience as a barber OR licensure by the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology as a beautician and six months of experience as a beautician.

Qualifications

Applicant must be able to pass an OSBI background check.

Hourly payrate: Level II-$16.58, Level I-$15.14

Schedule

Primary Working Hours are: M-F, 8:00am-4:30pm
