Personal Finance for the Performing Artist Faculty

Qualifications

• Graduate Student in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related fields.
• Undergraduate degree in finance, business, accounting, economics, or a related field.
• Preferred: Terminal Degree, Finance, Business Accounting or a related field.
• Certified Financial Planner certifications such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
• Understand the unique financial challenges faced by artists.
• Experience in financial planning, investment management, or accounting, preferably with a focus on individuals with irregular income streams, freelancers, or entrepreneurs.
• Recent experience in a higher education setting.
• Candidates with teaching experience and expertise in an additional area are highly desired.
• Knowledge and experience in using instructional technology.
• Demonstrated success teaching at the college level.
• Knowledge of and commitment to teaching strategies and practices that enhance student success at higher education institutions, including effective use of technology.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to academic excellence, exceptional service, and providing a dynamic climate for life-long learning.
• Ability to apply discipline expertise in a manner/context that is relevant to emerging performing artists, in an synchronous online environment and through the LMS.

Position Information

For administrative and tasks assigned or volunteered outside of classroom teaching hours, will be paid at a standard rate of $35.00 per hour. Salary Range: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour for classroom teaching.
