Responsibilities
- Assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and getting to and from activities and meals according to the individual Service Plan and needs.
- Absorb and document any changes in a resident’s condition, including behavior, mood and physical health.
- Meticulously observe and document any health changes, follow care plans and keep accurate records.
- Respond to residents’ needs in a timely manner.
- Protect the dignity and quality of life of Maryville residents.
- Assist other caregivers and Med Tech in caring for residents, as needed.
- Ensure proper safety and sanitation guidelines are followed at all times.
- Complete required training as assigned.
- Adhere to all HIPAA and facility policies and guidelines.
Requirements
- Pass background check required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion or Pre-Service Dementia Care, Infection Prevention, Home and Community Based Services & Individually Based Limitations, and Inclusivity Training (can be completed at time of hire).
- First Aid and Abdominal Thrust Certification (within 30 days of hire).
- Complete continuous Relias Training as assigned for the caregiver position.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift, push, pull or move at least 50 pounds independently.
- Potential exposure to infectious diseases, chemical cleaning solutions, and medical waste, requiring strict adherence to HIPAA and infection control protocols.
- Requires regular bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling.
