Position Purpose
This role impacts participants lives by providing essential personal care services and health support.
What You Will Do
- Conduct ongoing participant assessments and monitoring.
- Provide assistance with daily activities, including toileting, grooming, and meals.
- Aid in maintaining physical activity and exercise routines.
- Identify safety hazards and respond to emergencies.
- Assist with recreational activities, meal service, and housekeeping.
- Report any changes in participant's condition to center staff.
- Escort participants to appointments and assist with transportation.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail/elderly population or if less than one (1) year of experience, must receive appropriate training from the PACE organization upon hiring.
- Must be willing to learn American Sign Language (ASL). ASL proficiency preferred.
- Preferred experience in long-term care or geriatric programs.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license, insurance and use of personal vehicle.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to change.
- Some travel within the region may be required.
Position Details
$2500 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment paid in 3 installments. This program provides services to a community specifically comprised of deaf seniors. All candidates must be willing to learn American Sign Language (ASL).
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 2 pm to 10:30 pm, every other weekend/holiday
