Personal Care Worker

What You Will Be Doing

• Specializes in personal care and/or housekeeping for clients in their residences.
• Establishes services and performs services in a professional manner.
• Provides direct personal care or homemaker services to clients.
• Travel to multiple clients’ homes using Envida vehicle or personal vehicle as needed.
• Notifies supervisor or nurse of any changes in client’s condition, hospitalizations, or incidences of concern.
• Duties for personal care may include but not limited to: medication reminding, blood pressure, bathing assistance, skin, hair, mouth care, dressing, feeding, ambulation, exercise, transfers, positioning, bladder and bowel care, respiratory care, accompanying, protective oversight, first aid, universal precautions, infection control, hand washing, etc.
• Duties for housekeeping, if assigned, may include but not limited to cleaning, cooking, laundry, and grocery shopping tasks.
• Ensures that documentation is completed in accordance with Agency policy.
• Maintains confidentiality in all business records.
• Completes annual education requirements.
• Communicates effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR Certification, preferred.
• Able to pass a background check, criminal and motor vehicle.
• Able to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Proficiency with Smart phones and ability to navigate use of Apps.
• A valid current driver’s license and valid automobile insurance, showing you as a covered driver are required.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Additional languages preferred.
