Personal Care Attendant

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Perform light housekeeping tasks related to participant care (laundry, meal preparation, cleaning participant areas)
• Assist with meal setup and feeding as needed
• Observe and report changes in participant condition, behavior, or environment to the care team
• Follow individualized care plans and safety guidelines
• Support participants with exercises or activities as directed by therapy staff
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Maintain participant confidentiality and respect cultural preferences
• Accurately document services provided and report incidents promptly
• Follow infection control and universal precautions
• Participate in training, team meetings, and required in-services

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma, GED OR applicable work experience. Certification from a nursing assistant training program through classroom and supervised practical training totaling at least 75 hours with 16 hours devoted to supervised practical training OR minimum of six months clinical experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: Maintains current CPR status, Maintains current Mandatory Reporter status, Completes 12 hours of related in-services per calendar year.
• Other: Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. Valid Auto insurance.

Pay

The salary range listed does not include other forms of compensation which may include bonuses/incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits that may be applicable to this role.
