Personal Care Attendant

About the role

The Care Attendant Non Certified will provide assistance to residents in areas of activities, dining services, light housekeeping, and routine activities of daily living. They will assist residents with daily activities, assist with laundry, bed making, light housekeeping, and maintain residents' rooms in a clean and orderly manner. They will also assist dietary staff with serving meals in the dining room, ensure residents attend the dining room, observe residents while they eat, arrange for and deliver meal trays for room service as needed, return trays to the kitchen when the meal is over, serve supplemental nourishment and snacks as needed, and be cross-trained to work in all levels of care.

Responsibilities

• Give assistance to residents in areas of activities, dining services, light housekeeping, and routine activities of daily living.
• Aid residents with daily activities.
• Assist with laundry, bed making, light housekeeping, and maintain residents’ room in a clean and orderly manner.
• Assist dietary staff with serving meals in the dining room, ensuring residents’ attendance in dining room, and observe residents while eating.
• Arrange for and deliver meal trays for room service as needed, returns trays to kitchen when meal is over.
• Serve supplemental nourishment and snacks as needed.
• Be cross-trained to work in all levels of care so assistance can be given to residents in Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, or Memory Care.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written, English) with residents and staff.
• Genuine compassion and patience towards senior adults.

Pay

Compensation Pay Range: $19.60 - $22.60 per hour.
