Personal Care Assistant/STNA - Carriage House

About the role

The Personal Care Assistant assists older people who are functionally, physically, and/or socially impaired and needs 24-hour oversight. The role involves assisting residents with activities of daily living, instrumental activities of daily living, medication assistance, dining health maintenance and monitoring tasks, emergency preparedness, leadership, and administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with activities of daily living.
• Assists with instrumental activities of daily living.
• Assists with medication administration.
• Supports dining health maintenance and monitoring tasks.
• Participates in emergency preparedness activities.
• Assists with leadership and administrative responsibilities.

Requirements

• Must be able to think, act, and intervene independently in both routine and emergency situations.
• Must be self-motivated and function as an "in charge person."
• Must be able to relate to residents and staff in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and participate in holiday activities.
• CPR certification.
• First Aid State Tested Nursing Assistant in Ohio preferred.

Qualifications
