Responsibilities

  • Support IDD in reaching the goals outlined in their Service Plan.
  • Participate in community integration activities and social engagements with clients.
  • Provide companionship and engaging activities, such as reading and taking walks.
  • Accompany clients to appointments when necessary.
  • Engage in team meetings to share insights about the client's progress.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment through light housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure that each individual's needs and preferences are met with respect and dignity.
  • Effective communication and empathy are vital for building strong, trusting relationships with those you support.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Should have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and possess a reliable vehicle with current auto insurance.
  • Must be able to successfully complete various background checks.
  • Availability to work every other weekend, on holidays, and participate in an on-call rotation is required.
