About the role

Location: Lexington, KY. At Golden Years, compassion is at the heart of everything we do. We’re seeking a Personal Care Assistant to provide one-on-one care and meaningful companionship to a client who is a double amputee using a wheelchair. The role involves assisting with daily routines, errands, and maintaining a safe, organized home environment.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping and cleaning
• Taking out the trash
• Organization and maintaining a safe living environment
• Mobility-related assistance appropriate for a wheelchair user and double amputee
• Errands and transportation-related tasks as needed
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Taking initiative, setting clear boundaries when appropriate, and arriving ready to work

Requirements

• Female caregiver (as indicated)
• Outgoing, dependable, patient, consistent, and able to take initiative
• Comfortable assisting with meal preparation, light housekeeping, trash removal, organization, and mobility support for a wheelchair user
• Willing to run errands and provide transportation as needed
• Non‑smoking household; no indoor animals (animals kept outside)

Pay

$18 per hour

Schedule

Monday‑Friday 9 am‑4 pm and Saturday 10 am‑3 pm (40 hours per week)
