Personal Care Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Personal Care Assistant responsible for providing quality personal care to clients, following individualized aide plans, and ensuring safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, grooming, ambulating, meal preparation, feeding, oral hygiene, and transfers using appropriate equipment
• Complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets
• Maintain a clean and safe environment
• Report any concerns or changes in client conditions
• Respect client privacy and avoid tasks beyond scope
• Only aid with self-administration of medications, never direct administration

Requirements

• At least 6 months of caregiving experience
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• 18 years or older

Skills

• Good communication
• Adherence to safety and infection control protocols
• Ability to encourage client independence

All staff are accountable to the Home Care Manager and must follow agency policies to ensure quality and compliant care delivery.
