Personal Care Assistant

We are seeking friendly, caring, and compassionate Personal Care Assistants to provide excellent support and care for our residents.

Schedule

• Hourly (Monday-Sunday)
• Live-In
• Night Shift
• Weekend-Only
• PRN (As Needed)

The number of shifts per week is negotiable, but availability for Saturdays and/or Sundays on a rotating basis is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, shaving, and perineal care.
• Provide support with toileting, including the use of bedside commodes, bedpans, and urinals.
• Help with mobility and ambulation, using walkers, canes, and wheelchairs as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment by assisting with light housekeeping, laundry, bed-making, and tidying up.
• Prepare and serve meals, assist with feeding, and ensure proper clean-up.
• Provide skin care support to help prevent skin breakdown.
• Assist with safe transfers to ensure resident mobility and security.
• Support residents with early-stage Alzheimer’s or dementia by offering patient and compassionate care.
• Promote proper body alignment to prevent complications from immobility.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a Level 2 background screening
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR and First Aid certification
• TB Test
• Minimum 6 months of caregiving experience (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to perform essential duties without physical limitations
• Strong work ethic and alignment with our values and mission
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions effectively

Pay

Salary: $13 – $15 per hour
