About the role
Personal Care Assistant responsible for delivering client-centered care in home settings.
Responsibilities
- Follow individualized aide plans and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets.
- Provide basic personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulating, assisting with feeding, and using mobility aids.
- Encourage clients' self-help activities while maintaining safety, infection control, and confidentiality.
- Perform secondary tasks like light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation within scope.
- Monitor clients’ conditions and report any changes or safety concerns promptly.
- Assist only with medication self-administration; never administer medications directly.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and scope of practice; seek guidance when needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
- Minimum of 6 months caregiving experience, validated through references.
- Must be 18 years or older.
