About the role
Personal Care Assistant responsible for providing in-home caregiving services.
Responsibilities
- Follow clients’ care plans and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets.
- Assist with personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulation, and feeding, including special diet needs.
- Use equipment like walkers and wheelchairs safely and maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Encourage clients’ independence and respect their privacy and confidentiality.
- Notify supervisors of any changes in client condition or safety concerns.
- Support clients with secondary tasks like laundry, cleaning, and grocery shopping.
- Provide quality care within scope, avoid tasks outside of the care plan, and seek guidance when needed.
- Assist only with self-administration of medications and never administer directly.
- Report suspected abuse, neglect, or unsafe conditions immediately.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
- Minimum 6 months caregiving experience, validated through references.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to follow instructions, utilize safety protocols, and provide compassionate care.
