About the role
Personal Care Aides provide essential in-home care services to clients, primarily during weekend hours in the Rocky Mount area.
Responsibilities
- Follow client care plans and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets.
- Assist clients with self-help activities and provide basic personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulating, and meal preparation tailored to dietary needs.
- Use safety precautions, infection control procedures, and proper equipment like walkers and wheelchairs.
- Perform secondary tasks such as light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, and meal prep within scope.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and report issues or changes in client condition.
- Respect client confidentiality, privacy, and rights while delivering quality care.
- Assist with medication self-administration, without direct medication administration.
- Report suspected abuse, neglect, or unsafe conditions immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred with the ability to read and write.
- At least 6 months of validated caregiving experience.
- Must be 18 years or older.
