Personal Care Aide (PCA) - Independent Living Community

About the role

The Personal Care Aide (PCA) position at Interim HealthCare involves providing personal care and support to seniors in their homes. This role offers flexible scheduling and the chance to build skills through online training.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors, including bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
• Ambulate, assist with transfers, and perform range of motion exercises as needed.
• Remind clients about medications, document their condition, and report any concerns to a supervisor.
• Ensure a safe home environment by maintaining unobstructed pathways.
• Incorporate activities that bring joy to clients, such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.

Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• CPR certification
• Valid Missouri driver's license, auto insurance, and transportation
• Compassionate and helpful nature, good communication skills, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
