Personal Care Aide PCA Homemaker

About the role

As a Personal Care Aide, you will play a vital role in improving quality of life and bringing comfort, dignity, and support to those who need it most.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene assistance
• Aid clients with mobility, transfers, and daily living activities
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed
• Perform housekeeping, laundry, and household tasks
• Provide companionship and emotional support to improve quality of life
• Assist with errands, grocery shopping, and transportation to appointments (when applicable)

Requirements

• One of the following active certifications in the State of Massachusetts is required:
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certificate
• Home Health Aide (HHA) Certificate
• Personal and Home Care Aide State Training (PHCAST Homemaker and PC courses)
• A High School Diploma or GED is preferred
• Experience providing care to elderly or disabled individuals is preferred (professional or personal experience)
• A compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes
• Ability to lift, stand, bend, and assist clients as needed (up to 50 pounds)
