Personal Care Aide

About the role

Assist patients with personal care needs such as bathing, elimination, transferring, dressing/undressing, and ambulation. Perform household tasks including meal planning and preparation.

Responsibilities

• Shop for groceries and essential household or medical supplies.
• Accompany patients to medical appointments when approved by the Registered Nurse Supervisor.
• Document care daily and submit all required paperwork weekly.
• May be asked to assist with other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Successfully completed a Personal Care Aide training program or passed an equivalency exam with written evidence of completion.
• Previous experience in a home environment preferred.
• Mature, emotionally stable, and possess a sympathetic attitude towards providing services for patients.
