Personal Care Aide

Entry-level Direct Care Staff position in Santa Maria. No prior experience or caregiver certificate required; training provided. Make a difference & build a career. The Direct Care Staff are responsible for maintaining a safe, supportive environment which ensures the quality living of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist, monitor, and teach individuals with preparation of daytime activities
• Encourage good personal hygiene and behavior appropriate in their home or apartment
• Grocery shopping, menu planning, meal preparation, and clean up
• Encourage, motivate, and support clients with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral challenges
• Help plan, create, and organize tasks and schedules that promote goal achievement for clients
• Provide consistent documentation of progress through case notes

Qualifications

• Entry-level position; no prior experience or caregiver certificate required
• Training provided

Skills

• Experience working with individuals with behaviors (a plus)
• Ability to problem solve and adapt to different client needs
• Strong communication and dependability
• Comfortable working independently in one‑on‑one settings

Requirements

• Able to pass a background check
• Valid driver’s license required

Pay

Rate: $19.00–$20.00 per hour
