About the role
As a Personal Care Aide at Interim HealthCare, you'll support a full range of patient services to bring comfort and dignity to our clients. You'll provide 1:1 patient care with a focus on daily living assistance, companionship, and helping patients navigate the healthcare system.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily hygiene activities, including bathing, grooming, toileting and elimination, and nutritional intake.
- Help patients with daily living tasks such as light housekeeping, shopping, preparing meals, and grocery shopping.
- Provide companionship and conversation to support emotional well-being.
- Help the patient navigate the healthcare system by scheduling appointments and communicating needs to our nursing team, when appropriate.
Requirements
- One year of verifiable experience in assisting patients with personal care.
- Attention to detail; ability to carefully follow instructions and document notes regarding a patient's condition.
- Reliable transportation to and from care sites and/or work location.
- Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
