About the role
The position is 100% in-office and employees work their scheduled work hours at a designated WesBanco location, with consideration for the Wauseon, OH banking center.
Responsibilities
- Foster a positive work environment that inspires, motivates, challenges, supports, and provides ongoing recognition for exceptional performance.
- Provide excellent customer service while identifying sales opportunities and performing account transactions.
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities, manage customer relationships, and execute consistent outbound calling activities.
- Assist in targeted outside sales activities and participate in community service opportunities.
- Comply with all established Bank policies, procedures, and security measures.
- Operate as a teller, assist in supervising, and provide necessary additional support of the banking center's sales and operational objectives as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Model the Bank's Mission, Vision, and Pledge.
- Adequately assess the financial needs of Banking Center clients and make appropriate recommendations.
- Maintain and exceed defined sales goals for loans, deposits, partner referrals, and profitability.
- Demonstrate strong ability to sell and cross-sell the Bank's products and services to reach individual and team sales goals.
- Communicate and partner effectively with branch staff and peers to promote a team environment and ensure goals are met.
- Continuously monitor performance against banking center goals by adjusting individual goals and initiating sales promotions as needed.
- Execute consistent outbound calling activities inside the banking center using customer lists, cross-sell products, and make appropriate business line referrals.
- Promote company products and services in the community to assist in the continued growth of the Bank.
- Support proper functioning of all day-to-day operations including customer service, open and close procedures, support of daily vault duties, maintain cash levels, and adhere to audit and compliance requirements.
- Participate in regular sales and staff meetings.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and perform additional duties to support the success of the Banking Center.
Other Skills and Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook 365.
- Proficient in various Banking Software programs.
- Strong consumer lending skills preferred.
- Ability to generate new financial relationships through outbound calling, internal business development, and building a loyal customer base.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Available to work all hours of operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- Banking, Cash Handling, Sales, and Customer Service experience preferred.
- Supervisory or leadership skills desired.
