About the Role
As a Universal Service Representative, you are responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks related to all teller and USR I functions, including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, new accounts, and loans. Responsibilities
- Process routine transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and issuing cashier’s checks.
- Open new memberships and all ownerships; add/remove joint owners on existing memberships.
- Interview potential and existing members to determine appropriate products and services to meet their financial needs.
- Actively cross-sell additional products and services to meet member needs.
- Originate and fund unsecured loans (credit card and personal loans/lines). Communicate loan decisions.
- Perform follow-up calls to new and existing members to ensure member satisfaction and answer questions.
- Answer IRA questions and perform IRA contributions and distributions.
- Demonstrate knowledge in providing information and showcasing alternate delivery channels for member usage, including frontwavecu.com, online banking, eStatements, mobile deposits, bill pay, P2P, remote transfers, and express line.
- Serve as support to new Universal Service Representatives.
- Participate in the end-of-day branch balancing process.
- Demonstrate flexibility and prioritize workflow.
- Balance, fill, audit ATM/CDM/Recycler as needed.
- Maintain cash vault.
- Instant issue debit cards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One year of financial institution experience in a Teller or similar role with an emphasis on accurate cash handling.
Physical Demands
Member-facing positions at our branches may require standing. An adequate number of suitable seats shall be placed in reasonable proximity to the work area, and employees shall be permitted to use such seats when it does not interfere with the performance of their duties.
