About the role

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for their National Branch Network within the Consumer Banking and Lending division. This role involves delivering exceptional customer experience by building relationships through proactive outreach and proposing appropriate products, services, and digital solutions to help customers succeed financially. Key responsibilities include assisting customers with account openings, service requests, and credit applications, providing guidance on bank products and services, and referring customers to other bankers and partners as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships through proactive outreach and customer engagement
  • Propose appropriate products, services, and digital solutions to help customers succeed financially
  • Avoid offering or negotiating terms or taking applications for dwelling secured transactions
  • Work closely with internal partners to meet customer needs
  • Handle complex transactions across multiple systems
  • Offer introductions to additional team members as appropriate
  • Identify potential fraud/risky accounts and take appropriate action to prevent loss
  • Work flexible hours, including Saturdays, and complete service-related tasks

Requirements

  • 6+ months of interacting with customers experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Customer service focus with experience handling complex transactions across multiple systems
  • Proactive engagement with customers through outreach via phone or email
  • Ability to educate and connect customers to technology and share the value of mobile banking options
  • Help customers succeed financially by offering introductions to additional team members as appropriate
  • Experience working with others on a team to meet customer needs
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal partners
  • Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Ability to identify potential fraud/risky accounts and take appropriate action to prevent loss
  • Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism with customers and team members
  • Relevant military experience including working with military protocol and instructions, enlisted evaluations, officer/leadership reporting
  • Relevant military experience including working in personnel benefits management, processing military personnel orders or transitions, wartime readiness operations, human resources or military recruiting
  • Proficient with proactively sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Support customers and employees in resolving or escalating concerns or complaints

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Details on pay can be found on the Wells Fargo Careers website.

Schedule

This position requires flexibility to work most Saturdays and may involve evening and weekend work. Specific schedules will be determined based on business needs and candidate qualifications.
