Personal Banker - Part-Time

About the role

A Personal Banker (PB) is responsible for maintaining and building customer relationships by creating an exceptional customer experience through their knowledge of available products and services. The PB demonstrates Civista Bank’s mission to improve the financial lives of employees and shareholders, and to make a difference in the communities served.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience daily by providing a personal touch, building relationships, assessing needs, recommending products, and referring partners to grow the branch and the bank.
• Commit to personal growth through daily learning and adapt to current and new procedures and systems to support organizational growth.
• Ensure operational tasks are followed and completed daily.
• Execute customer requests with speed and accuracy.
• Maintain cash levels and outages within established guidelines.
• Communicate consistently and effectively, both internally and externally.
• Adhere to regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure the safety and soundness of customers and the bank.
• Promote and encourage the use of technology in everyday banking interactions, including teaching customers how to use mobile banking, P2P, and online banking.

Requirements

• Customer service, sales, and cash handling experience preferred.
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work under deadlines and frequent interruptions.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Above-average knowledge of technology and willingness to adapt to new software.
• Ability to work under deadlines with frequent interruptions.

Physical Requirements

• Work involves eye strain due to constant use of computer screens and reading reports.
• Ability to concentrate under sometimes distracting work conditions.
• Involves lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read, hear, write, and communicate professionally both in person and via telephone.
• Some travel required to attend meetings and training.
