Personal Banker (Member Solutions Specialist)
Overview
Are you ready to make a difference as a Personal Banker (Member Solutions Specialist) and elevate our members’ experience by delivering exceptional service? This exciting opportunity empowers you to maximize member engagement by providing a range of product options. You will directly assist members in opening new accounts, offering credit card products, Money Market/CD accounts, consumer loans, and mortgage loans.
Responsibilities
- Offer best-in-class service to our members through prompt, efficient, courteous, and professional interactions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in our products and services offerings, new accounts, and consumer lending processes.
- Absorb and resolve complex financial transactions and accounts for members through proactive follow-up.
- Build our members' financial health through thorough consumer loans, home loans, and new account interviews using available tools to uncover financial needs and submit applications as needed.
- Advise our members in the areas of debt management, credit advancement, mortgages, and overall financial well-being.
- Engage members in an in-depth financial health evaluation using available tools to recommend and open appropriate products and services.
- Avoid community relationships on an as-needed basis.
- Adeptly adopt new and existing tools that will enhance the member experience and consultation process.
- Advocate member adoption of new technology, campaigns, promotions, and digital products.
- Partner with our internal experts to recommend products and services to our members so they can achieve financial freedom.
- Be a resource to train new and existing team members as needed.
- Understand and comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations (including those related to OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance) and Patelco Credit Union's policies and procedures.
- Assess risk associated with your business processes and identifying control deficiencies to drive the company compliance and risk mindset and business performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of prior experience as a teller and personal banker.
- Maintain eligibility for NMLS, Medallion, and Notary certifications.
- Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills.
- Ability to be professional and understanding in all interactions.
- Willing and able to be flexible and adapt to changing job requirements.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to operate as a self-starter.
- Passion for providing exceptional service, Integrity, and Resourcefulness.
- Eagerness to learn and a drive for continuous improvement.
- Savvy with PCs, email, and proficient in all Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Some evenings and Saturdays are required.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or associated field preferred.
Target Base Pay
$29.50/hr
