Personal Banker II - Briar Forest

About the role

The Personal Banker II position provides an exceptional customer experience by building and maintaining long-lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers. The banker helps customers understand and address their financial needs through consultative sales and service, offering solutions across the customer's lifecycle. This role operates within the Bank's risk appetite, ensuring actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience while managing and reporting risks.

Responsibilities

• Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in an assigned book of business through proactive outreach (in person, phone, or other channels).
• Use a consultative approach to uncover and identify customer needs, tailoring recommendations, solutions, and advice.
• Maintain working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered by the Bank.
• Collaborate with internal partners to meet customer needs and resolve problems.
• Analyze customer credit data and financial information to align solutions with customer needs.
• Provide customer support to reinforce the value of current and new technology.
• Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, modeling ethical behavior.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of customer service experience, or a college degree, or equivalent military experience.
• Experience in a sales environment; financial industry experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with new customers and deepen existing ones.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills to represent Fifth Third Bank.
• Capability to analyze credit and financial information.
• Exhibits business acumen and sound decision-making skills.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) is required at the time of employment.

Working Conditions

• Normal office environment.
• Extended viewing of computer screens.
• Periodic travel within the Bancorp footprint for meetings and/or training.

Pay

The base salary for this position reflects the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, experience, education, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for incentive compensation based on company, line of business, and/or individual performance.
