Responsibilities and Duties
- Affords customers with product and service choices that align with their needs.
- Conducts follow-up activities based on customer needs and provides appropriate recommendations.
- Handles customer inquiries via phone and in-person interactions, including conducting customer research.
- Verifies and approves refunds of service charges or fees for customers.
- Assists customers in accessing their safe deposit boxes and ensures timely processing of deposit verifications for credit purposes.
- Provides interest rate quotes and obtains individual rate quotes as needed for jumbo deposit relationships.
- Accepts loan applications, conducts initial credit verifications, and performs underwriting requirements.
- Initiates and processes incoming and outgoing wire transactions, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained.
- Ensures regular and reliable attendance and works flexible hours, including weekends if the branch is open.
- Performs any additional duties or projects assigned by the branch president.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of personal and business banking products and stays informed about any changes.
- Demonstrates expertise in deposit account products and services to expedite the consumer credit underwriting and loan approval processes.
- Supervises the department, focusing on sales and customer service practices and principles.
- Communicates with clients and colleagues courteously and professionally.
- Operates various banking equipment such as computer terminals, printers, back counter capture machines, coin machines, and copiers.
- Listens actively to customers and makes appropriate referrals.
- Maintains confidentiality of customer information.
- Has a minimum of 36 months of prior banking experience, with a preference for supervisory experience or equivalent training.
