About the role
The Personal Banker I position at Fifth Third Bank is responsible for providing exceptional customer experiences by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships with existing and prospective customers. This role involves processing teller transactions, working as part of the platform staff, and helping customers understand and address their financial needs.
Responsibilities
- Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in a book of business through proactive outreach efforts in person, over the phone, or other channels as appropriate.
- Use a consultative approach with current or prospective customers to uncover and identify their needs while tailoring recommendations, solutions, and advice.
- Maintain working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered.
- Work collaboratively with internal partners to ensure customer needs are met and all problems are resolved.
- Analyze customer credit data and other related financial information to ensure customers are in the appropriate solutions that align with their needs.
- Provide customer support needed, reinforcing the value of current and new technology.
- Process teller transactions and adhere to balancing guidelines.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED, along with 6 months of customer service experience, or a college degree or equivalent military experience.
- Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with both new household acquisitions and deepening customer relationships.
- Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in verbal and written communication.
- Demonstrated ability in making sound decisions.
Qualifications
- SAFE Act registration through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) at the time of employment.
Skills
