About the role
A Personal Banker delivers superior customer service and professionalism, handling everything from simple transactions to opening new accounts. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a commitment to quality, and a desire to assist others.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions and processing requests accurately and courteously.
- Process night drop items each morning.
- Answer incoming telephone calls, determine the purpose, and address inquiries or forward calls appropriately.
- Refer complex questions, issues, or upset customers to the appropriate person.
- Accept and verify deposits, cash, and endorsements, following proper procedures for cashing checks, including obtaining authorization when necessary.
- Provide additional services such as issuing cashier’s checks, money orders, stop payments, and assisting with customer research or account inquiries.
- Interview customers to explain available financial services, including savings and checking accounts, Certificates of Deposit, ATM, and Visa debit cards.
- Process the opening of new accounts, including checking, savings, and Certificates of Deposit, and provide proper documentation and disclosures.
- Maintain and update accounts, including address changes and account closures as requested by customers.
- Generate monthly reports and send account-related letters to customers.
- Scan and verify daily work.
- Assist customers with Business Online Banking, Mobile Banking, and Online Banking, including resetting passwords.
- Order debit and ATM cards.
- Research and resolve customer account issues.
- Balance cash daily for the ATM, teller drawer, and vault, and replenish ATM funds.
- Promote and cross-sell the bank’s products and services at every opportunity.
- Act as a team member by coordinating branch workflow and assisting co-workers with questions.
- Assist with processing Accounts Payable.
Requirements
- Minimum High School diploma or GED required.

Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
