About the role
Join a forward-thinking team focused on serving members and the community through retail branch and digital services. This role empowers members through education on branch services and the credit union’s digital platform, helping uncover financial needs and suggesting products to meet them. You’ll maintain ownership of doing what’s right for members while embracing Neighborhood Credit Union’s core values and mission of building financial relationships in our communities.
Responsibilities
- Assist members effectively and timely, acting as a digital expert and advocate to educate them on utilizing services and channels at their convenience.
- Interview members to explain available financial products and services, including electronic delivery systems, and educate them on follow-up communication like onboarding emails and ongoing engagement.
- Evaluate credit bureau reports to determine the most beneficial products for individual members, uncover lending needs, submit loan applications, and cross-sell backend lending products.
- Assist members with service requests while educating them on the best solutions and future options for an efficient experience.
- Serve as a Call Center Representative when necessary.
- Provide accurate service to members and guide them through financial transactions, assisting frontline staff with teller transactions as needed.
- Maintain professional business relations within the organization, with members, and in the community.
- Deliver a consistent, exceptional member service experience, encouraging members to use online reviews to validate service standards.
- Build relationships through follow-up as part of onboarding expectations for new members, reinforcing long-term satisfaction and loyalty.
- Support on-site SEG visits, community events, and collaborate with the Business Development and Community Relationship team to stimulate branch business.
- Ensure prompt resolution of internal and external requests and questions while maintaining the credit union’s quality reputation.
- Coach and mentor frontline staff to display the credit union’s culture, achieve production goals, and hold team members accountable for individual and branch sales targets.
- Lead sales opportunities with confidence and enthusiasm, maintaining strong communication among branch staff.
- Promote internal competitions, coordinate branch huddles, and educate team members on new products and services.
- Analyze branch production, suggest improvements, and monitor successes and areas for growth.
- Manage vault operations, including ordering cash, monitoring recycler cash flow, and balancing.
- Follow all credit union policies and procedures, including fraud prevention, robbery guidelines, and governmental regulations.
- Perform additional functions as needed and assist others with tasks and work assignments.
Requirements
- Ability to evaluate credit bureau reports and determine beneficial financial products for members.
- Proficiency in vault operations, cash ordering, and balancing.
- Strong coaching, communication, and decision-making skills in a branch environment.
- Commitment to maintaining the credit union’s quality reputation and adhering to all policies and procedures.
