About the Role
Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for our National Branch Network within the Consumer Banking and Lending division. In this role, you will deliver an exceptional customer experience by building relationships through proactive outreach and proposing appropriate products, services, and digital solutions to help customers succeed financially.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with basic requests related to opening new accounts, completing service requests, and submitting credit applications.
- Receive direction from managers and exercise judgment within defined policies and procedures.
- Develop an understanding of bank products and services to connect them to customers' needs.
- Interact with customers to demonstrate care and build relationships.
- Provide appropriate options for bank products and services to customers.
- Refer customers' financial needs to other bankers and partners as needed.
- Maintain compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations, including ongoing background investigation requirements.
- Maintain a cash drawer, handle cash balancing, and complete service-related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- 6+ months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Bilingual speaking and listening proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays.
- Must take and pass a required language assessment.
- SAFE registration at the time of employment (Wells Fargo will initiate the process).
- Compliance with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements for Loan Originators (LO), including financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards.

- Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Ability to identify potential fraud/risky accounts and take appropriate action to prevent loss.
- Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism with customers and team members.
- Relevant military experience, including working with military protocol, personnel benefits management, or human resources.
- Proficient in proactively sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Experience supporting customers and employees in resolving or escalating concerns or complaints.
