Personal Banker

About the role

The Personal Banker will drive an outstanding customer service experience for Western State Bank customers at each branch. This role assesses customer needs and fulfills them directly or by referring customers to the appropriate bank area. The Personal Banker opens and services deposit accounts and performs teller line transactions while embodying the “Western Way” of respectful, curious, and creative service.

Responsibilities

• Customer Transactions: Handle in‑person, phone, email, and online transactions accurately, professionally, and efficiently, reflecting the bank’s vision and core values.
• Referrals: Identify cross‑sell opportunities and refer customers to other departments based on their needs.
• Deposit Accounts: Open and service customer accounts in compliance with banking regulations.
• Customer Relationships: Promote a positive experience by maintaining open communication with all areas of the bank.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• 1–2 years of experience in banking or customer service (strongly preferred).
• Eligibility to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.
