Job Summary
WaFd Bank is hiring a Personal Banker to help strengthen community financial health and inspire career growth in finance. The ideal candidate will build rapport with clients, open new accounts, originate loans and lines, and represent WaFd in diverse communities.
About the Role
As a Personal Banker, you will assist clients with personal and business banking solutions, adhere to bank policies, and reflect WaFd's core values of integrity, teamwork, ownership, simplicity, discipline, and service.
Responsibilities
- Build rapport with clients and understand their needs
- Open new accounts and onboard new relationships
- Originate loans and lines
- Refer to partners to meet additional needs
- Make out-of-office business development calls
- Adhere to bank policies and procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good math skills, 10-key, and keyboarding proficiency
- Proficient in standard Microsoft Office tools
- Well-developed smart phone and digital channel skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate automated technology teaching clients self-service skills
- Valid driver’s license, satisfactory transportation, and adequate insurance coverage
- Prior banking experience, familiarity with lending, previous work in retail, consumer service delivery, or client relations
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Skill Set: Good math skills, 10-key, keyboarding proficiency, proficient in standard Microsoft Office tools, well-developed smart phone and digital channel skills, excellent organizational and analytical skills, superior written and oral communication skills, ability to demonstrate automated technology teaching clients self-service skills, valid driver’s license, satisfactory transportation, and adequate insurance coverage

Starting salary range: USD $21.29/Hr. to USD $30.27/Hr.
