Personal Banker
Job Summary
WaFd Bank is hiring a Personal Banker to help strengthen community financial health. We are looking for motivated individuals who can assist clients with personal and business banking solutions, build rapport, and represent WaFd in the communities we serve.

Responsibilities
- Build rapport with clients, understand their needs, and provide solutions
- Open new accounts, onboard new relationships, originate loans and lines
- Referral to partners to meet additional needs
- Make out-of-office business development calls to businesses, community organizations, and referral sources
- Adhere to bank policies and procedures designed to comply with Federal regulations
- Reflect the core values and ethics of WaFd Bank, including integrity, teamwork, ownership, simplicity, discipline, and service
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good math skills, 10-key and keyboarding
- Proficient in standard Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, Teams, PowerBI and Outlook
- Well-developed smartphone and digital channel skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills and superior written and oral communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate how to use automated technology to teach clients self-service skills
- Valid driver’s license, satisfactory transportation, and adequate insurance coverage
- Prior banking experience, including familiarity with lending, previous work in retail, consumer service delivery, or client relations
