About the role
We are hiring a Personal Banker to join our Georgetown team. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining a personal portfolio of prospects and customers while delivering exceptional service. You will profile customers to determine their needs, cross-sell appropriate products and services, and refer customers to our integrated platform. The goal is to acquire 100% of the customer’s business by providing a broad base of services, including deposit-based, credit, investment, and fee-based products.
You will also service customers at the teller line by completing a variety of financial transactions following technical and operational guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Perform all teller and platform transactions promptly, efficiently, and accurately
- Adhere to all procedures including operational and corporate customer service guidelines
- Operate technology as required
- Supervise teller operations and adhere to signing authority guidelines
- Complete the Excel Level 1 course and the Univest University Supervisor Certificate Program
- Identify customer needs and cross-sell opportunities to develop new business
- Develop working relationships with integrated partners
- Proactively initiate sales conversations and manage tele-consulting efforts
- Develop knowledge and understanding of Univest products and services
- Leverage bank promotions and adhere to outlined sales flow
- Learn and become proficient in daily operational procedures
- Actively participate in branch activities, development, and training programs
- Manage and coach staff to desired performance levels
- Responsible for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to the position, including the Univest Code of Conduct
- Perform additional duties as required
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalency
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize
- Experience in retail sales or telemarketing with proven sales results
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory ability
- Energetic and engaging interpersonal communication skills
- Previous experience with MS Office Suite
- Previous banking experience or completion of ABA Banking Basics suite
- Proficiency in daily operational procedures
- Completion of training in SSR Suite Training
- Complete notary training if applicable
- Neat, professional appearance following established guidelines for appropriate dress
- Complete the Univest University Supervisor Certificate Program and the “Coaching for Performance Excellence” course
- Obtain NMLS registration
Schedule
- Monday - Wednesday: 8 am - 4 pm
- Thursday - Friday: 8 am - 6 pm
- Saturday: 8 am - 12 pm (2-3 Saturdays per month are required)
Pay
The salary for this position starts at $25.00/hour.
