About the Role

The Personal Banker is responsible for developing and maintaining a personal portfolio of prospects and customers while delivering exceptional service. This role involves profiling customers to determine their needs, cross-selling appropriate products and services, and referring customers to the integrated platform. The Personal Banker provides a broad range of services, including deposit-based, credit, investment, and fee-based products, with the goal of acquiring 100% of the customer’s business. The role also includes servicing customers at the teller line by completing a variety of financial transactions following technical and operational guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all teller and platform transactions promptly, efficiently, and accurately.
  • Adhere to all procedures, including operational and corporate customer service guidelines.
  • Operate technology as required, including supervision of teller operations and increased signing authority.
  • Complete the Excel Level 1 course and the Univest University Supervisor Certificate Program.
  • Identify customer needs and cross-sell opportunities to develop new business.
  • Develop working relationships with integrated partners.
  • Proactively initiate sales conversations and participate in tele-consulting efforts.
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of Univest products and services, leveraging bank promotions.
  • Learn and become proficient in daily operational procedures.
  • Actively participate in branch activities, development, and training programs.
  • Manage and coach staff to desired performance levels.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and the Univest Code of Conduct.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Schedule

  • Monday - Wednesday: 8 am - 4 pm
  • Thursday - Friday: 8 am - 6 pm
  • Saturday: 9 am - 1 pm (2-3 Saturdays per month are required)

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalency.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
  • Experience in retail sales or telemarketing with proven sales results.
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory ability.
  • Energetic and engaging interpersonal communication skills.
  • Previous experience with MS Office Suite.
  • Previous banking experience or completion of ABA Banking Basics suite.
  • Proficiency in daily operational procedures and SSR Suite Training.
  • Complete notary training if applicable.
  • Neat, professional appearance following established dress code guidelines.
  • Complete the Univest University Supervisor Certificate Program and the “Coaching for Performance Excellence” course.
  • Obtain NMLS registration.

Pay

The salary for this position starts at $25.00 per hour.
