Responsibilities

• Client Relations and Sales:
  • Proactively build, maintain, and grow client relationships through various communication channels.
  • Identify client needs and act on opportunities to offer Bank products and services.
  • Engage in professionally curious conversations with prospective and existing clients to uncover service opportunities.
  • Ask questions to understand client priorities and tailor recommendations accordingly.
  • Present options to clients that enhance banking convenience and align with their financial goals.
  • Work to align client expectations with Bank capabilities to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Thoroughly explain product and account features, statements, and service charges in an easily understandable manner.
  • Develop strong relationships with colleagues to connect clients with specialists for specific financial needs.
  • Resolve client service issues efficiently and favorably for both the client and the Bank.
• Teller Transactions:
  • Open new accounts and assist with teller transactions, including cashing checks; processing deposits and withdrawals; processing loan transactions; preparing change orders; and issuing cashier’s checks.
  • Assist clients with account questions and research to identify and resolve problems.
  • Accurately process transactions within defined limits of authority.
  • Maintain accurate cash and coin supply in drawer, ensuring currency and coin are neatly arranged.
  • Verify deposit amounts, examine checks, bonds, and cashier’s checks for negotiability.
  • Accurately verify signatures and client balances on withdrawals.
  • Enter transactions into Bank records via online terminal.
  • Complete and record accurate documentation on large transactions.
  • Balance drawer and coin vault within defined accuracy standards.
• Other Duties:

  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
  • Demonstrate good work habits, attendance, and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance at work.

Requirements

• Experience Requirements:
  • A minimum of six months’ work experience providing customer service support or cash handling experience in financial services, retail sales, or other goal-oriented environments.
  • Previous teller and sales experience preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of bank products and services.
• Education Requirements:
  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Some college preferred.

Physical Requirements

• May require long periods of standing or sitting.
• Ability to lift and carry cash drawers, coin bags, and boxes sometimes weighing over 25 pounds.
• May require long periods of typing and repetitive motion.
• May be required to work a flexible, rotating shift.
