Our Personal Bankers are friendly, goal-oriented professionals who love helping customers improve their financial health. As a Personal Banker, you'll gain valuable insights into banking and finance while assisting customers with their daily financial challenges. If you're interested in joining our team at the Bloomington Main location, we're looking for a new Personal Banker. Personal Bankers act as key brand ambassadors, developing long-lasting relationships with customers, colleagues, and other parts of the business. Your primary responsibility is to understand and meet the financial needs of each customer, providing tailored solutions and enhancing their financial wellness.
Essential Functions
- Interact with customers in-person and over the phone to ensure they meet their financial needs through personalized conversations and sales fulfillment.
- Listen actively to customers to make appropriate product and service recommendations that align with their needs and help achieve sales and service goals.
- Educate customers on various retail products and digital solutions to improve their financial health.
- Ensure financial transactions are accurate and compliant with policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Identify complex financial needs and refer customers to specialized bank staff when necessary.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong sales skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer experiences both in person and over the phone.
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Able to adapt to various situations with an optimistic outlook aligned with our culture and Core Values.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 1+ years of sales or customer service experience required.
- Experience working in environments with individual and team sales goals preferred.
Compensation
The hourly compensation range for this position is $20.55 to $25.05, based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies. Additional compensation may be earned through a performance-based incentive plan.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday: 8:15 AM - 5:15 PM
Saturday: 8:15 AM - 12:15 PM

- Listen actively to customers to make appropriate product and service recommendations that align with their needs and help achieve sales and service goals.
- Educate customers on a variety of retail products and digital solutions that enhance the customer experience and contribute to achieving sales goals.
- Ensure financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently, while complying with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify complex financial needs and refer customers to bank specialists when appropriate.

- Strong sales skills with the ability to provide an excellent customer experience by easily connecting with customers in-person and over the phone.
- Ability to meet personal and branch sales and customer service expectations.
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Able to remain adaptable to a variety of situations with an optimistic outlook that is aligned with our culture and Core Values.
