About This Job

Our Personal Bankers are passionate about helping customers improve their financial health. As a Personal Banker, you'll gain valuable insights into banking and finance while assisting customers with their daily financial challenges. Compensation

Hourly: $20.55 - $25.05 (Based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

Essential Functions

• Interact with customers both in person and over the phone to ensure their financial needs are met through needs-based conversations and sales fulfillment.
• Actively listen, understand, and make recommendations of products and services based on customer needs to achieve sales and services goals.
• Educate customers on a variety of retail products and digital solutions that enhance the customer experience and contribute to achieving sales goals.
• Ensure financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently, while complying with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify complex financial needs and refer customers to bank specialists when appropriate.
• Earn more than base pay through our quarterly incentive program.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong sales skills with the ability to provide an excellent customer experience by easily connecting with customers in-person and over the phone.
• Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Able to remain adaptable to a variety of situations with an optimistic outlook that aligns with our culture and Core Values.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• 1+ years sales or customer service experience required.
• Experience working in an environment with individual and team sales goals preferred.

Position Details

• This position may be filled as a Personal Banker I or a Personal Banker II, depending on experience and education.
• Federal regulations require Commerce Bank to prepare an investigatory consumer report which will disclose credit history if you express interest and are considered for this position.
• The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for differentials (geographic, bilingual, or shift) that could be associated with the position or where it is filled.
