About the role
The Personal Banker delivers an exceptional client experience by adhering to the bank’s Breakthrough Client Experience Standards. They acquire new and expand existing client relationships by identifying needs, offering appropriate products and services, and referring clients to internal business partners as needed. The role also uncovers and originates consumer lending and some small business lending opportunities while providing excellent client service.
- Engage clients and prospects in financial reviews to provide solutions and uncover additional financial needs.
- Make recommendations and follow through on commitments to clients.
- Maintain direct contact with external and internal clients, providing proactive solutions and problem resolutions aligned with bank service standards.
- Open consumer and business accounts for existing and new clients.
- Originate consumer loans independently and accurately.
- Originate business loans independently or with minimal assistance.
- Act as a resource to Tellers, contributing to the team environment and filling in on teller functions, including cash transactions, when needed.
- Support branch goals by identifying and referring a wide range of bank products and services to appropriate internal business partners.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED, required.
- 1 year of Teller or other banking experience required.
- In-depth knowledge of consumer products and services.
- Demonstrated proficiency in consumer lending.
- Ability to accurately handle cash, balance accounts and drawers, and perform accurate calculations.
- Proficient in expanding client relationships with emphasis on creating new relationships and deepening existing ones.
- Ability to obtain a Nationwide Multistate Licensing and Registry (NMLS) within 60 days required.

Benefit eligibility begins the first day of the month following the date of hire for associates regularly scheduled to work at least thirty hours weekly.
Pay
The pay range for this role is $20.00 to $24.00 per hour. The pay rate for the selected candidate depends on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and geographic location. The role may also be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, with details provided during the recruitment process.
