About the role

The Personal Banker delivers an exceptional client experience by adhering to Breakthrough Client Experience Standards. Responsibilities include:

• Acquiring new and expanding existing client relationships by identifying needs, offering products and services, and referring clients to appropriate business partners.
• Uncovering and originating consumer lending opportunities.
• Providing immediate acknowledgment, identifying client needs, and responding to inquiries promptly.
• Engaging clients and prospects in financial reviews to provide solutions and uncover additional financial needs.
• Making recommendations and following through on commitments to clients.
• Maintaining direct contact with external and internal clients, providing proactive solutions and problem resolutions aligned with bank standards.
• Opening consumer and business accounts for existing and new clients.
• Acting as a resource to Client Service Specialists, contributing to the team environment, and filling in on teller functions, including cash transactions.
• Supporting branch goals by identifying and referring a wide range of bank products and services to internal business partners.
• Resolving client issues and requests with strong follow-through.
• Building familiarity with business, consumer, and trust entities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• 1 year of teller or other banking experience (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of consumer banking and business products and services offered.
• Ability and desire to actively develop consumer lending skills.
• Ability to accurately handle cash, balance accounts and drawers, and perform accurate calculations.
• Proficiency in expanding client relationships with an emphasis on creating new relationships and rapport with customers.
• Ability to obtain a Nationwide Multistate Licensing and Registry (NMLS) license (preferred).

Benefit eligibility begins the first day of the month following the date of hire for associates regularly scheduled to work at least thirty hours weekly.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $20 to $28 per hour. The pay rate for the selected candidate depends on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and geographic location. The role may also be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation.
