As a Personal Banker, you will sell a full range of banking services and products with an emphasis on growing customer relationships and outside business development. This position focuses on sales and service delivery, requiring exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the Core Values of 1st Security Bank and demonstrate dependability and reliability.
  • Understand and promote the Bank’s Customer Service Protocols in daily branch operations.
  • Work as a self-starter with minimal supervision, multitask, and prioritize job responsibilities.
  • Maintain excellent and professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Identify weaknesses in current bank processes to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Know the features and benefits of 1st Security’s products and services.
  • Be fully knowledgeable and skilled in teller operations, vault, and safe deposit box procedures to support the team.
  • Use open-ended profiling questions during customer interactions and recommend appropriate bank products and services.
  • Demonstrate ability to "ask for the business" and "close the sale."
  • Document customer information in the bank’s system of record in a timely manner.
  • Open new accounts for consumers and business customers in accordance with bank policies, including CIP and BSA.
  • Cross-sell additional bank products and services.
  • Maintain an active business development pipeline.
  • Refer prospects to other bank partners (e.g., Home Lending, Community and Business Banking, Commercial).
  • Participate in the bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) activities and community event sponsorship efforts.
  • Research and resolve customer complaints.
  • Connect with customers in a way that promotes 1st Security Bank.
  • Achieve monthly sales, profile, and outbound call goals.
  • Act as supervisor on the team in the absence of management.
  • Take responsibility for learning and growth opportunities using the Branch Development Plan.
  • Participate in branch operational and audit activities as assigned.
  • Follow appropriate steps to ensure branch security.
  • Travel to assigned 1st Security Bank locations as business needs require.
  • Support management decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience in a sales role within a financial institution.
  • Basic knowledge of all applicable regulations pertaining to the position.
  • Knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering policies, procedures, and related programs.
  • Must be bondable.

Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and other database software.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize job responsibilities.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and squat occasionally.
  • Occasional lifting and moving of objects up to 25 pounds.

Pay

$22.00 to $33.66 per hour.
