Personal Banker Associate - Tulsa Float
About the role
The Personal Banker Associate has responsibilities as both a Teller and a Personal Banker. This role must efficiently process a variety of customer transactions, generate business, and deepen relationships by promoting products and services to potential and existing customers. As a float Personal Banker Associate, a designated banking center will be assigned, and the position requires flexibility to drive to different banking centers within the region. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel between locations.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and facilitate a welcoming and customer-focused environment
- Provide extraordinary customer service while achieving goals and supporting banking center staff
- Build and maintain relationships with customers to identify financial products and services that meet their needs
- Promote financial products and services
- Open deposit accounts and process loan applications, including consumer loan/credit line requests
- Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a balanced cash drawer and adhering to internal controls
- Generate new business and expand relationships with current customers through networking and Centers of Influence
- Respond to customer inquiries and concerns, creating positive solutions
- Support other employees as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of successful sales experience in an incentive-driven or relational selling environment; demonstrated performance in meeting and exceeding goals
- Minimum of 6 months of cash handling and/or Point of Sale (POS) transaction experience in a retail sales or food industry environment
- Must have a current Notary certification or be willing to become one at the Bank’s expense
- Ability to generate referrals, including making on-site visits with local businesses
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and with customers
- Strong work ethic and high integrity
- Proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
- Friendly, outgoing, assertive, confident, and enthusiastic personality
- Must participate in both informal and formal training (paid) and pass the Teller Certification test to operate a Teller drawer
Preferred Qualifications
- Successful sales record in a retail banking environment with knowledge of bank services and products
- Bilingual (fluent verbal and written Spanish) skills
Physical Requirements
- Long periods of standing or sitting, as well as typing and repetitive motion
- Ability to lift and carry cash drawers, coin bags, and boxes, sometimes weighing as much as 25 pounds
Schedule
Banking Center Hours of Operations:
- Monday - Friday: 7:15 a.m. - 8:15 p.m.
- Saturday: 8:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.
- Sunday: 11:45 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.
Part-time employees are scheduled for 20 hours per week within these time frames. Candidates must be available to work weekend hours. A shift differential of $5.00/hour applies for hours worked after 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, after 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays, and any hours worked on Sundays.
