Personal Attendant (Caregiver) IRVINE

About the role

We are seeking dedicated and dependable male personal attendants/caregivers to work overnight shifts (10 PM to 7 AM) on weekdays and weekends for a male quadriplegic client who uses a Hoyer lift. This role focuses on improving the client’s quality of life through compassionate and professional care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, personal care, feeding, meal preparation, toileting, ambulation, and medication reminders.
• Provide social interaction and companionship.
• Follow and implement the client’s Plan of Care with thorough orientation and training.
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, changing linens, and laundry.
• Transport clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other errands.

Requirements

• Homecare Aide Certification (HCA) – a California state requirement involving registration as a Personal Attendant and Livescan fingerprinting for an FBI background check. Assistance with this process is available if you are not currently certified.
• TB test completed within 90 days of the start date.
• Legal authorization to work in the USA.
• Physical capability to perform all job functions, including lifting and transferring the client.
• Safe driving record and valid auto insurance if responsible for transporting clients.
• Proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading English.
