Personal Attendant Caregiver

Partneship for Active Learning Services, Inc. is hiring a Personal Attendant Caregiver in Santa Ana, CA.

Requirements

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
• Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation (required)
• Current auto insurance
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to assist clients with activities of daily living
• Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds, as needed
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required
• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends if needed

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and personal hygiene)
• Preparing meals and assisting with eating if needed
• Light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, tidying up)
• Grocery shopping and running errands
• Providing transportation to appointments or community activities
• Offering companionship and supervision
• Helping the individual participate in daily and community activities
• Maintain accurate documentation and service notes
