About the role

As a Maintenance team member at Hyatt Place Mt. Laurel, you contribute to the hotel’s commitment to high-quality guest service and teamwork. You create a guest experience that surpasses a home-away-from-home by delivering welcoming, helpful, and exceptional service while maintaining a clean, comfortable, and hospitable environment. This position is primarily responsible for general maintenance and repairs in guest suites, meeting spaces, and guest-facing areas, including preventative maintenance of guest suites and public spaces.

The Maintenance team member also performs repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment, requiring skills and experience in these areas, along with strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair guest suites, meeting spaces, and guest-facing areas
• Perform preventative maintenance of guest suites and public spaces
• Repair mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment
• Deliver welcoming, helpful, and exceptional service to guests
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and hospitable environment

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of building maintenance experience
• Experience performing repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment
• Flexibility to work morning/afternoon shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Strong command of the English language (oral, reading, and writing)
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment requiring speed and guest interaction
• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate to heavy loads (minimum of 20 lbs)
• Basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel)

Qualifications

• Hospitality experience preferred, particularly in a hotel or related field
• Customer service experience preferred
• Quick learner with a genuine desire to meet the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
